We Want You to Join a Committee!
By Ross Creech
2024 Board Chair
GM & COO Quality Body Works
As Board Chair of the Greater Eureka Chamber, I can attest to the invaluable role our committees play in driving the success and vitality of our community. Our Chamber is fortunate to have four dedicated committees:
The Government Affairs Committee works diligently to advocate for policies that support our local businesses and promote economic growth. They engage with elected officials, monitor legislative developments, and provide valuable input on issues impacting our community's prosperity.
Our Organization Committee focuses on member engagement, retention, and recruitment. They organize networking events, develop member benefits, and foster a sense of community among our diverse membership base.
The Business & Education Committee strives to bridge the gap between the business world and academia. They facilitate partnerships between local businesses and educational institutions, inform workforce development initiatives, and promote lifelong learning opportunities.
Lastly, our Business & Industry Committee serves as a platform for industry-specific collaboration and innovation. They address the unique needs and challenges facing different sectors within our business community, driving forward initiatives to promote growth and sustainability.
However, to truly make a difference, we need more people to get involved. We need individuals who are willing to roll up their sleeves, share their ideas, and contribute their skills to our collective efforts. By joining one of our committees, you not only have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the issues that matter most to our community but also to build meaningful connections and develop valuable leadership skills along the way.
Whether you're a seasoned business owner, a budding entrepreneur, or a community advocate, there's a place for you on one of our committees. Together, we can work towards a brighter future for our community. So, I urge you to step forward, get involved, and help us shape the destiny of our Chamber of Commerce and our local business community.
