Habitat for Humanity Celebrates New Location

Congratulations to Christopher Radel, Marybeth Nelson, Greg Brandt, and Zac Albert with Habitat for Humanity of West Central Minnesota on the ribbon cutting of their new building located at 4722 Highway 71 NE, Willmar. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all. Also pictured are Chamber Ambassadors Kris Gulbrandsen, Chamber President Ken Warner, Julie Anderson (Kensington Insurance), Dawn Lippert (United Prairie), Alana Ziehl (Kandiyohi County Food Shelf), Michelle Marotzke (Mid-Minnesota Development Commission), Dave Feist (TPI Hospitalisty), and Sam Quam (Bethesda).

The Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to present High & Mighty as the headliner for its 12th annual fundraising event – Chamber Fest (formerly known as the Red Carpet) on Saturday, October 8th at Bill Taunton Stadium / Baker Field. ABOUT HIGH & MIGHTY

High & Mighty is a high energy show band playing the best R&B, Pop, Funk and Soul dance music from the 70's through today's top hits. Based in Minneapolis, High and Mighty is known for high-end musicianship and a killer horn section that will keep you on the dance floor. Their renowned horn section and top notch vocalists make them one of the most unique and powerful live music experiences!

 

EVENT TIMELINE

4:00pm – Gates open

4:30 - 5:30pm – 3D performs a variety of Rock to Country music in the picnic area

6:00 - 8:00pm – High & Mighty performs near the pitcher’s mound on Baker Field (dancing is encouraged on the field in front of the stage)

8:00pm – Fireworks sponsored by Heritage Exteriors & Restoration


LARGE GROUPS

Looking for a unique way to celebrate a milestone, host a company outing, or an alternative to a holiday party? The dugouts (the left is sold out but the right remains!) will provide the closest seating to the band with complimentary food and beverages for up to 30 people! Don’t have enough people to fill a dugout but think it sounds like a good time? Consider partnering with other members!

Vision 2040 Refresh

31st Annual Leadership Perspectives Kick Off

This year's Leadership Perspectives cohort of 39 will join over 900 others who have participated in program. Leadership Perspectives is designed to develop effective community leaders with vision and insight. Session topics include: individual and team building; heritage and diversity; government and media; health, human services, and volunteerism; law and justice; education; industry, and tourism; entrepreneurship and opportunities. Each session focuses on the issues critical to our region's future success.
