Greetings!
The joyous holiday of Purim seemed to have come early AND often this year with the revelry of Purim extending from Purim Day (Sunday, February 24th) through this coming weekend with a collection of carnivals, Purimshpiels and joy for all. We hope you take some time to take part in Purim, our most carefree of holidays.
Before the arrival of Passover (less than 4 weeks away in case you're counting), the calendar is filled with a wide variety of programs for your participation. Some are highlighted below and others can be found on the community calendar. There truly is something for everybody!
Please save Friday, April 12th at 7:45 a.m. on your calendar as we welcome our senior Senator, Chuck Schumer, to the annual UJA-Federation/Westchester Jewish Council Legislative Breakfast. Hosted by Temple Israel Center of White Plains, the breakfast program will also feature a special tribute to our former NY State Senator, Suzi Oppenheimer. Details to follow very soon.
So as February turns into March Madness, we invite you to take one final bite of Hamantaschen and one more guess at the Purim carnival jelly bean jar and get ready for another wonderful month in Jewish Westchester - the 8th largest Jewish county in America.
