As the saying goes, "Time flies when you are having fun", it certainly has been in my first 90 days! It feels like it was yesterday when I accepted my roles as your Executive Director! Many great things have happened since then and many more exciting programs are to come. The toolbox is being created and we are adding a diverse set of tools to that toolbox for everyone to get the proper tool to make your business successful. Here is a recap of some accomplishments and tools developed during the first 90 days:

1. Mediodía: ¡infórmate y actívate! The launch of our new business workshop in Spanish series was implemented in June and the very first one had 25 attendees and was very informative. The next one will be on Thursday the 23rd and the topic will be Food Safety Regulations for the Restaurant and Food industry.  All are welcome to attend as it will be in English with Spanish translation.
2. We had a sold out El Torneo Golf Outing with 32 teams! It was a gorgeous day to golf and have fun with friends, while at the same time making business with other Chamber members. We look forward to a greater one next year!
3. Our Holland Membership meeting was very successful with a great presentation from our Member LAR Counseling Services about counseling in the Latino community.
4. Our membership grew with close to 50 new members during our 1st 90 days and I can only hope that the momentum will continue. The mix of that membership is about half Latino and half non-Latino, as we are intentional in bringing in more Latino Businesses to fulfill our mission statement
5. We have grown the Chamber Board with three new Board Members, Gil Guzman from the Hispanic/Latino Commission of Michigan, Mansfield Matthewson from GRCC, and Melissa Birnie, former volunteer Chair for the Hispanic Chamber. Welcome to the Board and thank you for serving to make a difference!
