NEWS FROM UNDER THE PINES

The St. Christopher's School Alumni Newsletter

A Message from the Alumni Office

As another school year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to share some news and achievements.

This year, our students have excelled in academics, sports, arts, and service to our community. Their accomplishments have demonstrated the true spirit of St. Christopher’s.

As alumni, you are an integral part of our School's legacy. I encourage you to stay connected and involved. Whether it's sharing your success stories or participating in alumni events, your contributions will make a lasting impact on the StC community.

Wishing you a joyful summer.

Most sincerely,

Davis Wrinkle '81

Reunion Weekend 2023

It was terrific to witness the energy, enthusiasm and camaraderie as alumni returned to campus on a beautiful weekend to reconnect with fellow Saints and share cherished memories under the pines. Seeing familiar faces from different graduating classes celebrate our experiences was a testament to the enduring bond we all have for the School.

Faculty Profile: Nick Sherod '16

An accomplished student, basketball player and now a Saints educator and coach, StC is thrilled to have Nick Sherod '16 back on campus!

1. What is it like to return to StC as a teacher and coach?

It's interesting because I'm building relationships with people who I used to know as my teachers. Now they're my colleagues. I think it's helped me as a teacher because I bring an understanding from the student side. I remember what it's like to be a student here and it helps me connect with the guys I teach now.

It's really cool that I'm teaching boys that were in first or second grade when they would come to my games. Now I'm teaching them, and I've been able to see them grow up.

2. Where do you find your daily inspiration as an educator?

My fellow teachers. I remember the relationships I formed with them as a student and as a colleague now, and that's the biggest inspiration for me. I had Mr. Green three times! Mrs. Bandal and Dr. Hudson, they were big influences on me, as well.

3. What is one of your favorite StC memories as a student, teacher or coach?

One of my favorite all-time memories is talking with my friends and Dr. Hudson in her office. We formed really close relationships through those daily conversations, and I have really fond memories of those days.

4. Favorite dining hall dish?

Barbecue!
