Sunday Sermon

Sunday, May 12, Easter 7

Letting Go

At the Ascension the disciples didn’t want to let Jesus go. But he couldn’t be held back, he had to be shared with the world. Now, as the Rev. Canon Gwynn Lynch points out, “…instead of looking toward heaven, we can look around ourselves to see all the places and people with whom we can share the love of God.”

Watch or read the sermon HERE.

Donate used medical equipment to Asylum Shelter

Our Outreach committee supports Jewish Family Services (JFS) that runs a very well-organized Asylum Shelter in San Diego. People who are granted the asylum process are transitioning at this shelter to their final destination. They usually stay there up to

48 hrs. JFS processes on average 400 asylum seekers a day. At the shelter they can use used wheelchairs, walking canes, crutches, and other medical equipment (like splints, ankle support, knee support, etc.) in good condition for people who were injured

during their long journey. If you can donate such equipment, please bring it to church and notify Ildiko Antal at generalantal@gmail.com. Thank you for your generosity!
