Security/Hospitality Volunteers Needed:

The White Elephant Sale needs a few volunteers to welcome our many guests and to keep an eye on security. It requires no experience and actually is fun. It is an excellent opportunity to meet other volunteers and to serve St. James’ many outreach missions. Can you join this tradition at St. James by giving a few hours this year?

The three “shifts” this year are: [1] Friday Evening (August 23, 4:45-7:45 pm); [2] Saturday Morning (August 24, 8:45 am to 11:45 pm), [3] Saturday Afternoon (August 24, 11:30 to 2:30 pm).

If you can serve a shift or even part of a shift please contact Phil Roeder with an e-mail message at proeder@ucsd.edu or leave a voicemail message at (858) 453-9422.

If you would like to support him and his team, please send a check payable to “St James by-the-Sea” with “Emeka-Nigeria” in the memo. Loving Others

The Rev. Dr. Mark Hargreaves continues to examine St. Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, this time regarding Christ’s command to us to love one another. Rev. Mark elaborates on three specific ways to do this: controlling your anger, practicing forgiveness, and being kind. Give it a try!
