Greetings!

You are receiving this email because of your relationship with St. Agnes Catholic Church in Catonsville, MD.  We hope that you will take an opportunity to read a sampling of the many things that are going on in our parish!
Spring Forward
Papal Transition
Sede Vacante

The Church is currently in a time known as sede vacante, literally "the See is Empty".  The cross keys topped by the umberlino is the symbol for this time.  The Cardinals gathered in general congregations govern the Church and make plans to enter conclave to elect a new Pope.

Let us pray in thanksgiving for the ministry of Pope Benedict XVI and for the Cardinals as they prepare to elect the 266th successor of St. Peter.

The Catholic News Service's YouTube channel has lots of great videos.  You can access their channel by clicking here.

A video on how the Pope is elected can be found here.

In the latest edition of his Credo newsletter, Fr. Harris details how a new pope is elected.
