Rachel's Family News, Schedule Changes and Holiday Closing
clinic

A Note From Rachel

Those of you who have had appointments over the last couple of weeks that were canceled will already know a bit of this, but I wanted to share a bit of what I've been going thru, as it is certainly impacting the clinic and my ability to be there and offer treatments at this time.

On Monday, December 1st, my stepmom, Susan Condon, passed away at St. Anne's hospital in Fall River, Mass, after a month of complications and several hospitalizations triggered by a fall at home on November 1st, when she broke her neck. Prior to the fall, other than suffering from dementia which was beginning to progress, she was in good health overall.

She and my dad, who is a UCC Congregational minister, have served the Brookfield Congregational Church community for the last couple of years, and in addition were very active, going to the gym regularly, frequent outings on my brother's boat, trips out to western Mass to visit, and up to their cottage in Owl's Head, Maine.

So, this has been quite a shock to the entire family and it has been a very difficult month, trying repeatedly to get her home for rehab with home health care in place, and then back to the hospital. My brother, father and I were all able to be at the hospital by her side in the final days, and at the time of her passing.

Calling hours and funeral arrangements have already been set up, in the Foxboro and Sharon, Mass, area, and we are doing what we can to celebrate her life and all she meant to us, within the guidelines of COVID-19 related precautions and restrictions.

I appreciate your support and understanding very much, as my schedule for the month of December is significantly modified, to account for the added time I need to spend with my family in this time of grieving. Below you will find details of the schedule changes.

I am very grateful for my colleague, Anne Louise, who has been an enormous help during this time, in keeping things going at the clinic in my absence.

Cherish yourselves, and one another, during these challenging times. Each moment is precious.

With love and gratitude,
Rachel
