Pine Crest Inn: A Sandhills Tradition Since 1913

Sandhills Student Tosses His Way to a $100,000 Scholarship

Sandhills Community College student and former Pine Crest Inn Dining Room Server Andrew Jimenez won the Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway in Atlanta during halftime of the nationally televised Georgia vs. Alabama football game. His efforts rewarded him with a $100,000 tuition scholarship bank account.

All of us at Pine Crest Inn could not be any prouder of Andrew. He was a model employee and always looked to help above and beyond. We miss him every day but know this young man is on a fast track to great accomplishments.

Andrew is currently a student at Sandhill Community College in Southern Pines and will eventually transfer to UNC Chapel Hill.

Way to go Andrew!
