April 1 - U.S. Latina & Latino Oral History Journal: Special Issue abstract submissions due. The U.S. Latina & Latino Oral History Journal is a research publication created to mine, showcase, and promote the rich field of oral history as it relates specifically to the U.S. Latina and Latino experience. The journal invites abstracts for an upcoming special issue on oral history and literary criticism. Learn more and submit.

Check out the latest one on creating effective PowerPoints for all kinds of audiences and talks, with Jeremy Swanston (Associate Professor and DGS, Graphic Design, School of Art and Art History).

News & Achievements

Duhita Mahatmya (2023 IDRG), Megan Foley-Nicpon, Saba Ali , and Susan Assouline won a $2.27 million award, Innovations in Discovering and Developing Talented Twice-Exceptional Students (DD2E). The award will expand the Belin-Blank Center’s initiatives to support students who are intellectually gifted and have a neurodevelopmental disorder.
John McKerley (Humanities for the Public Good internship mentor) accepted a job as a union representative with the Iowa State Education Association serving teachers and other school workers in southeastern Iowa.
