University of Florida Convocation, a bookend to Commencement (aka. graduation), is University of Florida's official welcome for all Junior level college students of New World School of the Arts. This event celebrates the class of 2020's entry into the Gator family and inducts them to a community of learners as part of the University of Florida, here at NWSA in Miami. "UF convocation represents the final step in my college career, it's like the homestretch. We have the Associates degree from MDC, and now our UF degree is within reach," said Juan Urbina, who will receive his BFA in visual arts in 2019."

During this milestone event, the students will be reminded of the privilege they will enjoy having a positive impact in the world as members of both, New World School of the Arts and the Gator Nation. Newly-minted NWSA / UF college students will be treated to lunch and will receive their official University of Florida Gator ID cards.
