| Did you know... |
that the honey bee is a almost complete female society?
There are 30'000 to 60'000 female worker bees and of course one female queen, but only a few hundred male drones.
The work is done by the female worker bees and the bee queen. The worker bees take care of cleaning, nursing, construction, harvesting, logistics and security.
The queen bee has one task only, but a very, very important one. Laying eggs - a couple of thousands every day.
The male bees enjoy a pretty relaxed life though. They don't work, they consume. Until the day they complete their task and die.
Some amazing facts:
Bees can transport up to 30% of their body weight during flight.
They reach a maximum speed of up to 30 km per hour.
For 300g of honey the bees have to fly harvesting nectar around 20'000 times. |

The Flu-Season has started
With the lower temperatures already hitting Europe and Northern Asia, many have felt that the seasons are changing... and autumn inevitably brings falling leaves and the flu to some people.
The best strategies to prepare your body for the seasonal changes (and the flu-bugs) are to
- get enough sleep
- exercise
- eat healthy
- consume vitamin C, zinc and PROPOCAPS!
Just to clarify - children can take PROPOCAPS too!
 | | Some people get flu-shots - we prefer taking PROPOCAPS regularly |
Brazilian Green Propolis is the right prevention and natural treatment for flu because of 3 major effects:
- It is antiviral. Artepillin C, the main ingredient of Green Propolis, gives viruses a hard time to spread in your body.
- It is immunomodulatory. Artepillin C is also helping your immune system to fight of diseases like flu. Helpful property for prevention and treatment.
- It is antibacterial. Many people with flu get a bacterial infection on top of the viral infection as their immune system is already weakened. To prevent this you can use PROPOCAPS or our new PROPODROPS for oral applications.

New Research on Propolis
Here are some links to recent research on propolis:
- Propolis inhibits Growth on Pathogenic Yeasts
- "Our results proved that the propolis inhibits the growth of pathogenic yeasts and confirmed the efficiency of propolis as an anti-Candida and anti-Malassezia agent." - hence we recommend to use PROPODROPS for oral hygiene!
- Propolis an Effective Treatment for Gum Disease
- very interesting: after two weeks, "subgingival irrigation with propolis extract as an adjuvant to periodontal treatment was more effective than scaling and root planing as assessed by clinical and microbiological parameters."
- Propolis Flavonoid May Help Treat Melanoma
- Galangin, an active flavonoid present at high concentration in propolis, shows cytotoxicity towards several cancer cell lines, including melanoma.
- Apimondia Apimedica in Zhenjiang, China
- The Apimondia in China was a big success. The long history of apitherapy in China for at least 3300 years led to the recent development in apitherapy clinical services. There are up to 300'000 apitherapy practitioners in China which makes it the biggest national apitheray community worldwide. Many gathered in Zhenjiang to exchange experiences and present new results.
