Happy New Year - Resolve to GRADUATE!
High School Seniors and Parents, the CHCA Board wishes you the best as you enter your final semester. Finish strong!

It has become a Clairmont Heights tradition to celebrate our graduates with banners at the neighborhood entrances. We have been reaching out to parents we know, and we want to ensure that ALL SENIORS make it onto our sign. If your family has a graduating senior, please let us know by email:

Children's Events in January
PETER and the WOLF

The DeKalb Symphony Orchestra will present its Annual Children's Concert on Sunday, January 28th at 3:00 pm. Musicians will be joined by dancers from the Decatur School of Ballet. Tickets are $10.

MARY POPPINS Junior

Those who enjoy musical theater will be interested to check out a performance of "Mary Poppins Jr." on the same weekend of January 28. Based on one of the most popular Disney movies of all time and the Broadway musical that played for over 2,500 performances and received multiple Olivier and Tony Awards nominations, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins is capturing hearts in a whole new way: as a practically perfect Broadway Junior musical!

This student production is promoted by Decatur Performs, a non-profit organization that benefits City Schools of Decatur. Tickets are $10, and multiple dates are show times are available. Please refer to the ticketing link below.
2024 Georgia Legislative Session is Open Now
Georgia's 40-day legislative session is underway now at the state capitol. State legislation is certain to touch on issues that are important to all neighbors.

Our legislators for this session are interested in your opinions. Find summaries of their proposed legislation and priorities on their websites (links provided below).

Please note that Georgia legislature established new districts for our area during their special session in December, 2023. For the current session, however, our representatives remain the same. CHCA will publicize the new boundaries and share information about those candidates later this year.
Want to Join our Neighborhood Party Efforts?
CHCA sponsors gatherings during all seasons of the year. You can see a few recent examples below. We are currently planning for a Spring affair to feature an artists' market, children's activities, and good times for all. Our plan is to hold this in early May, and the planners are getting together beginning this month.

Join our next monthly CHCA Board Meeting
All CHCA members are welcome and encouraged to attend our monthly CHCA board meetings. Our standard schedule is second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM.

Out next Board Meeting takes place on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
