ICNC Incubator Open House: A Success!
With over 250 attendees, our 2016 ICNC Incubator Open House was a great success! ICNC would like to thank the guests, donors, and participating incubator companies for their part in making this year's Open House one for the record books. We look forward to another spectacular event in 2017!

ICNC EMT Training Program Recruitment
ICNC is pleased to announce that recruitment has opened for our 9th consecutive all-female Emergency Medical Technician training course! 
This seven-month program begins in March 2016 and is open to women who are a head-of-household, earning between $10K - $40K (or recently unemployed), and have a clean driving and criminal history. To apply, click here

  Metro Chicago Grant Recipients
Congratulations to the following local companies who work with the ITC at ICNC on being awarded export grants as part of the 2016 Metro Chicago Exports Grant Program. Recipients include ICNC companies and members DropCatch, Modern Sprout, Saltsox, Thank God I'm Natural, and Gus Berthold Electric as well as Jarvis Corp, Upton's Naturals, and the Duggan Sisters. ICNC is proud to work with these ambitious companies as they pursue international growth opportunities!
  Save-the-Date: ICNC Holiday Party December 8th
ICNC will once host its annual Holiday Party at the Garfield Park Conservatory on Thursday, December 8th. Please join us for food, beverages, and socializing in celebration of the holiday season.  Stay tuned for more information!

Employee Training Reimbursement Opportunity
Receive money back for investing in employee training! ICNC has received funds through TIFWorks 50/50, an employee training reimbursement program issued by the City of Chicago. Applications are currently being accepted. Applicants must be located within the Kinzie Industrial TIF District boundaries. All training must be pre-approved by the City. Development Opportunities   
Women in Metals Design Jam:  DesignHouse Chicago, an organization whose mission is to revitalize local manufacturing through design, will be hosting one of their signature events at ICNC on October 13th. DesignHouse is always looking for more partners - if you are a manufacturer interested in connecting with local designers and product innovators to increase your business, please contact emily@designhousechicago.com to discuss.

10,000 Small Businesses:  Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is a no-cost program that provides business owners with practical business education, a supportive network of advisors and peers, and access to capital. Through the program, owners will receive the tools and support to develop a customized growth plan to take the business to the next level. The application deadline for the next cohort has been extended to October 14. For more information and to apply, click here

Discover Global Markets: ICNC is proud to be a supporting organization of  Discover Global Markets: Building Smart Cities - helping U.S. companies find new opportunities in global markets for infrastructure, cyber security, Internet of Things, and other services and technology related to smart city development. The forum will take place in Chicago on November 1-3. See  video clip here.   

RMUIL ICenter Program: One of the core values of Robert Morris University Illinois is experiential learning. The ICenter program pairs student/faculty teams with businesses to work on real projects. Successful past projects have included accounting, marketing and social media plans, graphic design and videos, food business product development, and much more. Business Workshops:  The Department of Business Affairs & Consumer Protection (BACP) offers workshops every Wednesday and Friday. Workshops vary each month and are conducted by city officials, experts, and partner business organizations. All workshops are free and open to the public. We Are Turning 50!

Metric Coffee - Metric Coffee opened its new cafe at 2021 W Fulton St on Monday, October 10th. Come support this ICNC Incubator company by stopping by for a cup of their delicious coffee, pastries, and more!

Metraflex - ICNC Member Metraflex was recently featured in the Chicago Tribune for their work in helping to employ local youth and set them on the path towards new and better-paying careers.

ICNC Newsletter and Website  -   ICNC members who have an announcement such as a new product launch or a special promotion can have it included in our monthly newsletter. Members with media attention can have the article link included on ICNC's ' In The News ' section of the website. Send all relevant information and links to Hannah Jones at hannah@industrialcouncil.com  by the last day of the month.
Monthly Alderman's Meeting
Every month ICNC hosts a breakfast with 27th Ward Alderman Walter Burnett, Jr. These meetings are an opportunity for area companies to discuss issues they have with crime, infrastructure, zoning, and other topics.
