"For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven" (Ecclesiastes 3:1).
Keeping the end in mind shapes how we live our lives in the here and now. Living life backward means taking the one thing about our future that is certain—death—and letting that inform our journey before we get there. This series uses the Old Testament wisdom book of Ecclesiastes to help us live wisely, generously, and faithfully. Today the series continues with the most familiar passage from the Ecclesiastes—a reminder about how we mark time.

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2a).
The ocean can be a place of peace, renewal, and rhythm, but there can also be stormy seas ahead. It's important for us to set boundaries that will ensure our journey includes calmer waters in our future.

Vegetable Gardens @ Promise Road and Mud Creek | |
“The love of gardening is a seed once sown that never dies.”
—Gertrude Jekyll
Did you know we have raised beds at both campuses? We need your help! Let’s get these beds in order. We need more good dirt at Promise Road and could use fencing around the beds at both locations to keep the deer out. Volunteers are needed to help plant, weed, water, and harvest throughout the growing season.
This is a wonderful opportunity for families, those who need some quiet time, and anyone who likes to play in the dirt! All are welcome! Vegetables will be donated to the food pantries. Fresh vegetables are in HIGH demand!
Please email michelle.latty@geistchristian.org if you are interested in helping at Promise Road and linnanddiboyd@att.net if interested in helping at Mud Creek.
