Adult Spiritual Formation
Starting May 5, ASF will begin the study and discussion of the new book by John Pavlovitz, Worth Fighting For: Finding Courage and Compassion When Cruelty Is Trending. Pavlovitz is a writer, pastor, activist, and storyteller from Wake Forest, NC. Most recently, Rev. Pavlovitz was the Theologian-in-Residence at the Ames United Church of Christ in April, and he also gave a public address at Iowa State University. A video of Pavlovitz’s ISU presentation will be shown to kick off ASF’s discussion of his book in the CPC Cinema.
Children's Sunday School
Don't forget: with 10:00 a.m. worship comes 9:00 a.m. Children's Sunday School! We have a couple weeks left before our new series on Fruits of the Spirit starts Sunday, May 19. Contact Emily Sprunger to volunteer as a teacher for one or more weeks (515-292-2063, emily@cpcames.org).
We Love CPC's Teachers and Musicians
Thank you for joining us at worship on Sunday, April 28 where we honored CPC's teachers and musicians! Thanks also goes out to our sound and video technicians, ushers, and communion preparers and servers - it takes a lot of people to make worship and learning happen at CPC!

Thank you for your support of The Vine!

As we prepare for the rummage sale and Labyrinth Coffee, the Social Hall will be unavailable for most uses starting May 3rd. If you have a regularly scheduled event in the Social Hall, we will be contacting you about alternative arrangements.
