A special message from President, Helen Oshaben

Connect - Learn - Play - Belong

My goal in 2023 was to create a sense of belonging - especially for our new members. With our wonderful Course Directors, the commitment of our Board, and each of you - the Chapter created great experiences on the course!

As I reflect on 2023, I am grateful for all the gifts of our Chapter. It was such a fun season: we welcomed several new players, we played in the sun and in the rain with unceasing passion, and we enjoyed our time together.

Your input is so important to the Board and to the success of the Chapter. Whether we're adding new leagues (welcome Sweetbriar!) or planning off-season events (see below!), your responses help us shape the Chapter to provide what you're seeking from membership.

Share your ideas, questions, concerns with me directly at helenclegolf@gmail.com. We're listening and we're doing our best to create a terrific golf experience for you.

Looking forward to 2024, our incredible Events Committee is planning tons of opportunities to Play! With help from our friends in the Canton Chapter, we've added more Weekend Open Golf dates. We've already booked our Stay & Play at Avalon in Warren. Plus - we have events in January. Big thanks to the Events Committee - Olga Merela, Cindy Trefny, Kristen Davis, Heidi Gallaher, Donna Byrnes, and Judy Anderson!

So, renew your membership! Although you have until March to renew at the current rates, please take action now to be part of the fun that's planned over the next couple of months. Plus, if you're playing in warmer locations - membership allows you to post the scores, and to play with other LPGA Amateurs Chapters around the world (check out the LPGA Amateurs national website for locations).

I wish all of you a Happy, Healthy, and Fun New Year! Can't wait to see you on the course!
