Registration for Fall Drama Classes Is Now Open 

Registration for Dream Big Performing Arts Workshop's fall drama classes at Chase Park is now available at www.dreambigperformingarts.com/classes-schedule/chase-park-classes/.The session will run from 9/17/2012 through 12/1/12 and will offer a variety of theater and drama class options for ages 2-18.  Be sure to check out their newly designed "Academy" for middle school and high school students. AT&T Cell Tower Update

In a continued effort to keep the Chase Park community informed about the situation surrounding the AT&T cell tower at Chase Park, here is the latest update from AT&T: 

 

AT&T was unable to make the August Zoning Board of Appeals hearing date, as there were already too many cases filed ahead of this one. Counsel filed on July 30th to get on the September agenda for 9/21; however, we will not get confirmation of whether we are on the 9/21 docket until early September pending how many cases are continued from the August hearing. AT&T has completed their Economic Disclosure Statement and all relevant zoning documents. The temporary site will continue to receive monthly maintenance until a permanent tower is in place. 

 

Please forward any questions or concerns regarding the cell tower and related construction to our CPAC yahoo account. We will forward them to the project manager. AT&T will continue to keep CPAC updated on this project, and we will pass on information as the project proceeds. 

CPAC Installs New Nets on Tennis Courts

Tennis has been a lot more enjoyable at Chase Park this summer thanks to the new nets that CPAC was able to purchase to replace the existing ones, which were damaged. A big thanks to Todd O'Gorman and Mark Langenderfer for helping us to install them and adjust the poles to regulation heights on all of the courts! 
Design Dance Upcoming Sessions

Registration is currently open for Design Dance's fall classes at Chase Park at www.designdance.net/classes/sessions/241. The session will run from 09/17/2012 through 11/03/2012.

There is also still room in their end of august summer camps at www.designdance.net/classes/sessions/201.

Save the Date: Circus in the Parks 2012



Circus in the Parks will be returning to Chase Park and other parks throughout Chicago this fall with a brand new show! Don't miss the annual tour featuring Chicago's own Midnight Circus. Each magical show will provide plenty of family friendly entertainment, including acrobats, clowns, and even a dog, all under a little big top tent. This year's tour has expanded to include Hamlin Park, and a list of all parks and dates are available at www.circusintheparks.org. The Circus will be at Chase Park on October 20th and 21st.  

Tickets are on sale now at events.org. This event sold out at Chase Park last year, so get your tickets now!
