Mother’s Day Brunch - If you are a mom, grandma, aunt, adopted mom, foster mom, unofficial mom, or just a motherly presence in someone else’s life, we want to celebrate you with a special brunch on Mother’s Day Sunday, May 12th, from 9:30am-11:30am in the Fellowship Hall. We are calling on all Dads for help. Email lol@lolonline.org for more information, or just show up and help!

This Sunday, we celebrate Baptismal Anniversaries. If you were baptized in the month of May, please light your baptismal candle, or any candle, during worship as we recognize and celebrate being a beloved child of God. 

A Congregational Meeting has been called for Sunday May 19^th and we have two major items for the congregation's approval: 2024-25 Proposed Budget and revisions to our By-Laws. In preparation for these conversations the Council is hosting workshops for you to learn about the proposals, ask questions, and give input before the meeting. We hope to see you there!

Be a Bin Buddy! – We’re partnering with Isaiah 117 House to help kids waiting for foster placement. They need items and we’ve agreed to keep the bins full of GIRLS pajamas sizes 4T-5T and BOYS underwear sizes 2T-5T. Drop your items in the big, white bin in the Welcome Center until Mother’s Day, May 12. God's Work, Our Hands.

Synod Assembly Volunteers Needed - Lord of Life is hosting this year’s Synod Assembly, the annual meeting of all congregations in the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod, on May 17 & 18. This is a huge undertaking, and we will need your help to welcome and direct people around the building, help in the kitchen, and work traffic control and golf carts. Register here.

We o-FISH-ally need your help with an ocean of supplies for VBS. Your donation impacts 160 children and helps them dive into an undersea world while discovering that God is a real friend who loves them forever!

Cards for a Cause - Food and Fellowship with your favorite ladies Wednesday, May 15 at Herrera’s at 5:30pm. Accepting free-will donations of $25 gift cards (HEB, Target, Kroger, or Wal-Mart) to use for food-insecure individuals in our community. Common Table - A social ministry for adults age 55+ in conjunction with Trinity Episcopal next door. Next gathering: Tuesday, May 21 from 4:30-6pm at Palotta's Italian Grill, The Woodlands. Bunco Night - Join us the 4th Thursday of every month in the Welcome Center for fellowship and fun centered around playing Bunco. You do not need to know how to play. We will teach you. Bring $5 and a snack to share May 23 at 7pm.

Are you jelly-fish that VBS is only for 4th grade and below? Don’t be crabby, attend as a volunteer. We need upcoming 5th graders through adults to make VBS happen.
