entertainment lineup revealed
Celebrate Independence Day at the best July 4th event in the region – MadTree Red, White & Blue Ash at Summit Park (4335 Glendale Milford Road)!

The City of Blue Ash is excited to announce the headliner for the free event is the exhilarating, alt-rock duo, Judah & the Lion. They’ll be taking the stage at 8:15 p.m. The opener, Motherfolk, a groovy, alt-folk band with Cincinnati roots, takes the stage at 6:00 p.m.

At 10:00 p.m., don’t miss the mesmerizing Arthur Rozzi Pyrotechnics fireworks show that will light up the night sky and the Observation Tower with eye-popping bursts of electrifying colors. Set to a patriotic, musical backdrop provided by Warm 98.5, the fireworks show will thrill attendees of all ages.

But the excitement doesn't stop there! The festivities begin at 4:00 p.m. with local food trucks and restaurants, a MadTree Brewing Beer Garden, a variety of carnival rides and games, a business expo, and much more. Read more.
Blue Ash Annual Report now available online
The 2023 Blue Ash Annual Report is now available online.

It is chock full of facts, figures, and information about what was accomplished in the City over the last year.  

For example, did you know that the Police Department cleared 97 percent of its cases, firefighters completed nearly 4,000 hours of training, the Blue Ash Golf Course had a record-breaking year, and Park Maintenance planted and maintained 3,368 annuals?

Dora being considered for downtown Blue Ash
A Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) is being considered for the downtown business district in Blue Ash.

The DORA would allow people to purchase alcoholic beverages from participating businesses and walk around with them within the DORA boundary (click here for the map).

The proposed DORA would operate the same as the DORA currently in place at Summit Park. It would be in effect from 10 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Sunday.

A public hearing is set for May 9 at 7:05 p.m. in City Council Chambers, and Council is expected to vote on the DORA resolution on June 13.  
Police Department holds swearing-in ceremony

The Blue Ash Police Department held an official swearing-in ceremony on April 11.

Officer Dane Billingsley and Officer Scott Singleton were sworn in as new officers and Lt. Dane Baumgartner and Sgt. Joey Berning were sworn in to their new roles within the department by Mayor Jill Cole.

Police personnel receive Patriot Awards

Blue Ash Police Officer Brentten Wiley awarded Chief Scott Noel, Sgt. Jun Cho, and Dispatcher Barb West with Patriot Awards.

The awards recognized the trio for their support of Wiley while he was deployed overseas as a 1st Lieutenant in the Army National Guard.

The recognition comes from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense office that was established in 1972.

Wiley presented the awards after the swearing-in ceremony on April 11.
Public Works Coloring Contest starts Monday
The Blue Ash Public Works Department children's Coloring Contest kicks off on Monday, April 22!

Prizes will be awarded in three categories: ages 4 and under, ages 5-8, and ages 9-12. 

The official printable coloring pages can be downloaded and printed at this link and can be picked up at the Blue Ash Recreation Center, 4433 Cooper Road, or the Municipal and Safety Center, 4343 Cooper Road. Learn more.
Free Fitness at Summit Park starts on 5/8
Get ready to get moving! Blue Ash Parks and Recreation is excited to announce the 2024 Summit Park Free Fitness schedule.

Summit Park has an invigorating lineup of free fitness classes starting in May.

Classes feature a diverse range of enjoyable workouts, including yoga, Zumba, and line dancing. Read more.
