Meet the newly named snow plow, Scoopy Doo, at Touch-A-Truck
The votes have been tallied and the winning moniker in the 2024 Blue Ash Public Works Name-A-Plow contest is Scoopy Doo!

The name was submitted by Beth Hammergren. She will receive a Lego prize pack and a photo with the plow she named. 

You can meet Scoopy Doo and hop inside other Public Works vehicles at Touch-A-Truck on May 22 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Summit Park, 4335 Glendale Milford Road.

Thanks to everyone who submitted names and voted in the contest.

Public Works Week is May 19 through 25. This year's theme is "Advancing the Quality of Life for All".
Cinema, coffee, and bakery news
Here are a few stories about businesses making news in Blue Ash!

  • ACX Cinema 7+ and Backlot Pizza +Kitchen will open in the former Envision Cinemas location, 4780 Cornell Road. Read more.

  • Higher Gravity is now selling coffee at its location in the Approach in the Neighborhoods at Summit Park under the name HG Coffee Co.

Police Department Bike Rode on 6/5
The Blue Ash Police Department will hold its annual Bike Rodeo on June 5, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Summit Park, 4335 Glendale Milford Road.

The free event features a bike obstacle course where children learn safe riding skills. Kids can also receive a free helmet, while supplies last. Read more.
Blue Ash Beautification Contest
Do you or your neighbor have a lovely lawn or a grand garden? 

The 2024 Blue Ash Beautification Contest will be accepting nominations from May 27 through June 7. 

To enter your home or a neighbor’s property, fill out the form here.

Homes will be judged according to the type of plantings used, including garden variety and color, general maintenance, and overall appearance.

There will be three Beautification Award winners and one Mayor’s Choice award winner. 
Blue Ash Blood Drive on 6/21
Join Hoxworth Blood Center and the City of Blue Ash for a blood drive on Friday, June 21, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Blue Ash Municipal and Safety Center, 4343 Cooper Rd.

Every donor will receive a Hoxworth floppy hat!

Appointments are preferred but walk-ins are always welcome. To make an appointment, click here.
Story times at Summit Park

Performers and librarians will take children on epic adventures through story times at Summit Park.

The Cincinnati Opera will host a Storybook Hour on June 11 at 11:00 a.m. featuring the book Opera Cat by Tess Weaver.

Nanny Belle’s, in partnership with the Blue Ash Library, will host Storytimes on June 27 and July 25 at 11:00 a.m. 

The story times are free and open to the public and will be held under the Canopy at Summit Park, 4335 Glendale Milford Road.
