Seven Year Old Christian Victim in Pakistan Receives Justice

6/17/2014 Pakistan (World Magazine)

A day after Palm Sunday, 7-year-old Christian Sara Masih, was kidnapped and brutally raped by four Islamic men, and left for dead in an abandoned building where a Muslim woman found her. Local authorities did investigate, very aggressively, and some Muslim leaders denounced the crime at a public rally before the trial.  Within a month, police had all four men in custody and on May 26th they were sentenced to 20 years in prison.

  • Pray for Sara's full spiritual and physical healing through the true Healer our Lord Jesus Christ
  • Pray the sentence for these convicted men will be upheld to protect not just Sara and her family, but all women who are victims of abuse
  • Pray for the protection and comfort of Sara's family as they go through these dark times

California Student Defies School Orders, Speaks on Faith at Graduation

6/16/2014 United States (The Christian Post)

California's Brawley Union High School Christian student, Brook Hamby, was denied his speech three times because he wanted to express his Christian faith. He decided to assert his freedom of expression by openly speaking about his belief at the graduation ceremony, and even quoting Matthew 5:13. Hamby is among the many Christian valedictorians whose speeches have been censored or denied by their schools.

 Full Story

  • Pray Brook Hamby's stand for God and freedom will resonate in the hearts and minds of other students
  • Pray the school will remove the censorship that denies freedom and our God
  • Pray for the Lord's anointing on all His children who will have to stand against those who try to suppress His Word

The Compilation of 85 Persecuted Churches in Zhejiang, China
6/16/2014 China (ChinaAid)

ChinaAid received a compilation of all known church demolitions, cross removals or modifications and notices received concerning the prior actions in China's coastal Zhejiang from a source. The actions against churches in Zhejiang are all connected to the province's "Three Rectifications and One Demolition" campaign, which claims to target all illegal structures. However, based on government documents, some speculate that the campaign is really just a crackdown on religion.

  • Pray for the release of these churches from the persecuting hands of man
  • Pray for God's hand to come upon the congregations in renewing of strength and love
  • Pray for revival in China and non-believers will receive His Holy Spirit of Truth for salvation

  • Pray for the physical healing of those injured during the attack and for the comfort of those who have lost loved ones
  • Pray for the swift rebuilding of the homes, church and local market

North Korea Rejects Talks on South Korean Missionary Sentenced to Life

6/12/2014 North Korea (SCMP)

North Korea rejected South Korea's call for talks on the fate of a South Korean missionary Kim Jeong-wook, who was sentenced to hard labor for life for allegedly spying and operating an underground church. In a reply the North insisted that Kim's fate should not be of debate for he broke the country's law and was punished in accordance with it, the South's unification ministry said. The North is holding three other US citizens, including Kenneth Bae who was sentenced 15 years hard labor.

  • Pray North Korea will quickly and safely release Kim, Kenneth and all persecuted Christians
  • Pray the Spirit of our Lord will come upon all in North Korea and all will receive salvation in His name
  • Pray for the renewing of strength and comfort of our brothers and sisters imprisoned in Jesus' name
