Nigeria: Army Frees Women and Child Hostages of Boko Haram
The Nigerian army claims to have rescued twelve girls from a liberated Boko Haram camp in Borno State, Nigeria on Tuesday. The radical Islamist terror group has cultivated a fierce reputation for their regular kidnapping of women and girls and subjecting them to beatings, forced conversion, and sexual slavery. While the identities of the twelve rescued remain unknown, the good news reminds us to continue praying for the more than 200 girls from Chibok who Boko Haram kidnapped in April 2014 and remain missing.

Missing Chinese Bishop Featured in New Rights Campaign
A bishop and a Christian lawyer are among those being featured in a new rights campaign by a U.S. presidential hopeful, Senator Marco Rubio, designed to apply pressure before Chinese President Xi Jinping visits the White House next week. The initiative focuses on 20 dissidents and religious figures who are representative of the harshest rights crackdown by Beijing in recent memory, said Rubio, head of the U.S. congressional commission on China.
- Pray that the new rights campaign by the U.S. will be successful in pressuring China to release the 20 dissidents and religious figures
- Pray that China will stop its attempt to stifle and silence human rights advocates, lawyers and religious leaders

Archbishop Says Government Is Discriminating Against Christian Syrian Refugees
As countries like the UK debate how to deal with the refugee crisis, the Archbishop of Canterbury has said that their policy will discriminate against Christians. The policy takes those who are in camps, but many Christians fearing discrimination, violence, and intimidation have not been willing to enter formal camps that are largely populated by Sunni Muslims. The result, the Archbishop said, is that these policies end up cutting Christians off from opportunities to find refuge.
- Pray that the situation will stabilize in Syria, and that Christians will once again experience religious freedom in their homeland
- Pray for the protection of Syrian families who are being uprooted from their homes by the fighting, displaced in their own country, or fleeing to neighboring countries for safety
- Pray for local churches and other Christian organizations in Syria, providing food, shelter and trauma counseling to the refugees

Chibok Girls Dispersed, Some Married Off and Appointing Ministers Tough, Says Buhari
9/13/2015 Nigeria (AllAfrica)
Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari says the Chibok girls have been dispersed to various locations in northern Nigeria, still captive by Boko Haram, diminishing the hopes of rescue for more than 200 young girls who were kidnapped in April 2014. He also disclosed that many of them have been married off. This is especially torturous for the Christians girls who have been forced to convert to Islam.

Judge Orders Removal of Oklahoma Ten Commandments Monument Within 30 Days
As previously reported, the Supreme Court of Oklahoma ruled in June that a monument depicting the Ten Commandments on state capitol grounds must be removed. The memorial was ruled unconstitutional because government property may not be used to endorse a "church denomination or system of religion." A state district judge has since ordered that the monument must be removed from the government grounds within 30 days.
- Pray that God would turn around this incident in Oklahoma for His good and that this incident would unite Christians in Oklahoma to stand for Christ
- Pray that America's leaders will turn to God with humble hearts and follow Him
- Pray that, as a nation, the United States would return to God; as we call on God, let us do so by genuine faith, believing that He hears our prayers

Syrian Christians 'Need a Safe Way Out' of War Zone; Groups call for Federal Government to Help
As conflict continues to rage in Syria, its Christian community continues to search for refuge. It is increasingly difficult for them to stay in Syria, but they find their options limited to legally leave the country. Some risk their lives to cross to Europe, while others seek overcrowded camps in Turkey, Lebanon and elsewhere. With a war zone behind them, they need a safe way out.
- Pray that after such suffering and so many horrors, Syrian Christians will not lose their hope in Christ
- Pray that leaders will choose peace over violence and seek reconciliation with their enemies
- Pray for nations that border Syria as they welcome the refugees
