U.S.: Ordained Ministers Face Jail Time For Refusing to Perform Same-Sex Marriage

10/18/2014 United States (Daily Signal)

Many in support of same-sex marriage argue that all Americans should be free to live as they choose, but countless cases from supporters and government officials have proven this doesn't apply to all Americans. A case in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho involving two ordained ministers, Donald and Evelyn Knapp, who run Hitching Post Wedding Chapel, refused to marry a same-sex couple. The city said they have a non-discrimination statute that includes sexual orientation and gender identity. The Knapps are facing 180-day jail term and $1,000 fine for each day they decline to celebrate the same-sex wedding.

  • Pray the Knapps are released from this discrimination against Christ our Lord
  • Pray the United States will not continue to persecute Christians and stand for God's Truth
