Kenya Places Indefinite Ban On New Church Registrations

11/19/2014 Kenya (Christianity Today)

Not unlike other countries' recent moves across Africa, Friday, Kenya imposed an indefinite ban registration for all new religious organizations. Categorizing the promise of miracles by pastors as illegal, the Kenyan government justifies the ban as necessary in order to amend its religious organization registration policies to better protect Kenyans. Christians are outraged by the move and have expressed their intention to fight the ban.

  • Pray the ban on new church registrations will be lifted immediately so that Christians will be able to continue to gather for worship
  • Pray against the movement for stricter regulations on churches in Kenya
  • Pray for the end of the persecution against Christians in Kenya

Christians Are Facing Persecution In Egypt

11/21/2014 Egypt (Christian Telegraph)

The Christian community across Egypt has faced an increase in persecution as the country has been in a period of political instability since 2011. Many were hopeful that the removal of President Mubarak would lead towards greater representative democracy, the result has been quite the opposite, and Christians have regularly suffered without the protection of a state that is concerned with ensuring their basic rights or safety.

  • Pray that the Holy Spirit will actively speak to Muslims and call them to follow Christ, giving them a reason to truly live
