Blessing of the Bikes

This past Saturday, First Christian Church in California had their first Blessing of the Bikes! Ten motorcycles were present and many people came for worship. Fire Harvest provided music and Nik Keller (President of Fishers of Men chapter of the Christian Motorcycle Association) brought the Word to all. Then there was laying hands on the bikes and riders and prayers for safety, opportunities to witness on the road, and for each rider to experience the risen Christ on their travels. The event ended with a ride as a witness of God's people gathered together. Read more and see other photos>

Last week we shared congratulations to Rev. Dr. Chad McMullin and First Christian Church in Sedalia on their growth and success highlighted recently in this news article. Now our Disciples New Service has named him a Dedicated Disciple!

What is Our Bodies, Our Faith Camp?

Our Bodies, Our Faith camp is a unique and meaningful experience for current 8th and 9th graders. Parents and pastors who would like to learn more about our curriculum and what campers can expect at Our Bodies, Our Faith are invited to join us for an informational Zoom meeting on Sunday, June 9th at 7PM. If you are unable to attend, you can also contact the directors Rev. Nick Larson and Rev. Sarah Kingsbery at ourbodiesourfaith@gmail.com with any questions.

There was one such meeting held last Sunday evening, but this second one has been added to make sure that everyone with any questions about this camp can get them answered!
