Webinar: Challenging the Constitutionality of FTC & SEC In-House Enforcement Proceedings
Last April, in a unanimous ruling, the Supreme Court opened federal district court doors to litigation challenging the structural constitutionality of civil administrative enforcement proceedings brought by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) or the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in their own in-house courts.

On July 12, the Beverly Hills Bar Association hosted a one-hour webinar on the potentially far-reaching significance of the Court's combined opinion in Axon Enterprise, Inc. v. FTC and SEC v. Cochran. BHBA President & ALF Board Member Malcolm McNeil moderated the webinar, in which former FTC Acting & Principal Deputy General Counsel Dave Shonka and ALF Executive Vice President & General Counsel Larry Ebner provided their insights.

As part of its free-enterprise and limited-government advocacy missions, ALF filed four amicus briefs at different stages of the Axon/Cochran litigation.
