Third e-scooter and e-bike vendor coming to Edmonton’s streets

June 6, 2024

The City of Edmonton has selected a third vendor, Neuron, to operate e-scooters and e-bikes in the city.

Tomorrow, Neuron devices will join Bird Canada and Lime’s fleets on Edmonton’s streets. The Shared Micromobility Program has a three year License of Occupation with year-round terms. E-scooters and e-bikes first hit Edmonton’s streets on May 29, 2024 and the new year-round contract allows vendors the flexibility to keep them on the streets as long as the weather allows.

“We are excited to have Neuron join Bird Canada and Lime on our streets to provide Edmontonians with more choice in alternative modes of active transportation,” said Shewkar Ibrahim, Director of Traffic Operations.

Riders can use shared pathways, bike lanes, and roads with speed limits of 50 km/hr or less and should ensure they’re not blocking sidewalks and building entrances when parking.

Parking and riding rules are communicated with riders through vendor apps and are available on edmonton.ca/scooters. Edmontonians are encouraged to observe all City bylaws and vendor rules in order to ensure their safety and the safety of others. For assistance with devices, riders can contact:

The City’s Shared Micromobility Program provides alternative active modes of transportation. This supports the City Plan’s goal of 50 per cent of all trips made by transit and active transportation.
