Greyhound Play Day - Saturday Nov. 14th!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 14, 2015, and make plans for a fun day with your Greyhounds at the Haggard Farm in Celina. This is an event for TAGS Greyhound owners and other Greyhound friends - there is no admission cost and lunch (barbeque and the fixin's) is complimentary. Sam and Deann Haggard are the generous hosts and will provide short straight racing for the Greyhounds (200 yards) as well as a fenced play yard where the Greyhounds can run and play off leash (muzzles are mandatory). The fun will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until approximately 1:30 p.m. (or as long as there are dogs wanting to run). Each dog is limited to three runs because many of the dogs are not used to such strenuous exercise. The grass may be wet so wear rubber boots or other sturdy shoes and bring a jacket. There is always wind on the hill.

Due to the safety of the dogs, this event may be postponed do to weather conditions. If the lure coursing field and play yards are not safe, the dogs cannot run.

TAGS will have microchips available as well as Greyhound merchandise for your shopping pleasure and goodie bags for each guest. Directions to the fun are here.

Volunteer Opportunities at this event!

TAGS will need some volunteers to work this event.

To greet people as they arrive and show them where to go.
Merchandise sales table.
To watch the dogs in the play yard.
To help with the food and to help clean up.
To help generally with moving dogs around, helping with the equipment, help in the field with dogs, etc.
