Time on Your Hands This Summer?

The lazy days of summer are finally here!  The kids are off school, maybe you are working shorter hours and now you have time on your hands.  Lots of time on your hands...  If you are looking for some activities to entertain the family this summer, why not check out a few of these lesser-known museums (all within a day's drive of the Twin Cities):

Have a Hair Raising Time at the Bakken

  • The Bakken Museum (Minneapolis)
The world's only museum and library devoted primarily to the use of electricity in the medical and science fields. The Bakken educates visitors about the history of electricity and electromagnetism from 1200 A. D. to the present. Created and named after Medtronic Co-Founder, Earl Bakken.
  • Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum (Minneapolis)Designed by world renown architect Frank Gehry. The architecture of the Weisman is of a Expressionist Modern style, with a stainless steel skin of abstract cuboid and curvaceous forms. Similar to Gerhy's other work like the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain or the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. The Weisman is home to a large number of American Modernism pieces by artists like Georgia O'Keeffe, Marsden Hartley, Arthur Dove, Milton Avery, Charles Biederman, Charles Demuth, the Ash Can (or Ashcan) School, and more.
  • The Glensheen Mansion (Duluth) Sometimes referred to as Glensheen Historic Estate. Built by mining magnate Chester Adgate Congdon who was considered the richest man in Minnesota upon his death in 1916. Originally set on 22 acres of Lake Superior's shoreline, it has 39 rooms and 27,000 square feet of living space. It was completed in 1908. Glensheen is also the site of the infamous murders of heiress Elisabeth Congdon and her nurse, Velma Pietila, on June 27, 1977.
  • Judy Garland Museum (Grand Rapids)  Adjacent to the restored home where Judy grew up. Some of the more unusual exhibits include the Wizard of Oz Carriage - The carriage that brought Dorothy, and her companions, on the final leg of their journey to see the Wizard. Unfortunately, a pair of her Ruby Red Slippers that were worn in The Wizard of Oz were stolen from this museum a few years ago.

Ink Cartridge Performance Points

Sure there are differences between Remanufacturers.  At Cartridges Direct, we have sourced to find the best performing alternatives to provide for our customers.  How did we make the choice?  These are the criteria:

  • Cartridges are used once.  By using cartridges only one time for remanufacturing, we retain the most reliable used cartridges with a know history which provides a predictable performance.
  • Circuits and nozzles are tested.  For each cartridge, the circuits and nozzles are tested to ensure a reliable connection and the free flow of ink.
  • Cartridges undergo a cleaning process.  All  cartridges endure our patent steam cleaning  process that removes all old ink, which eliminates cross contamination.  This process returns products to premium print performance conditions.
  • Premium quality ink sets used for refilling.  Each cartridge is refilled with specifically designed ink for that type of cartridge.  It  is designed to deliver improved black and color print performance which is suitable for documents, presentation material and photos.
  • Precision filling processes are utilized.  Precision filling equipment designed and build specifically to provide improved print performance and eliminate leaking is sued.  The filling system also ensures the exact ink filling quantities that yield proper page count.
  • Testing is performed at all stages.  Testing on the cartridge is performed at the beginning, middle and end of the process.  This ensures ever aspect of print performance is tested to ensure consistently dark blacks and bright colors which deliver a full value product.  Inter-color bleed tests (interaction between the various colors and black), as well as page yield tests are always conducted.
We look forward to learning how we can help your business save time and money this month.  Please give us a call for fast, professional, courteous service and the highest quality products available!

Sincerely,
