EYC Date Change - and St. Patrick's Day Snack Meetup this Sunday!

In true Mrs. Martha fashion, we accidentally scheduled one of our most anticipated meetings of the EYC season - Faith and the Body with Starmount Fitness Director and general awesome person Lisa Myers - for Sunday, March 24th, which happens to be the first Sunday of GCS spring break (insert facepalm emoji). We know everyone wants to be there for Lisa's empowering and inspiring session, so we're working on rescheduling for a date in April or early May and will update everyone ASAP.

In the meantime, let's celebrate St. Patrick's Day this Sunday from 5-6 pm by meeting up at Ben and Jerry's at Friendly Center. Wear green, BYO milkshake money, and be prepared to brag about your spring break plans with all of your EYC friends.

St. Andrews Spring Parish Workday is Saturday March 23rd

The Buildings and Grounds Committee will host a parish workday on Saturday, March 23rd from 9:30-1 with a job for everyone!

If your spring break plans start a little later, be sure to head over to help out with sprucing up our church grounds and giving a little love to the buildings that serve us so well. Lunch will be provided (and cleaning supplies too!), so sign up to be included in the lunch count!

A signup sheet is posted on the Parish Hall bulletin board, or you may RSVP to Betty Atwell by email or at 336-706-7375.

Easter is Almost Here!

If you've been spending time in the Godly Play room on Sundays you know that we are approaching the end of the purple days in the circle of the church year, which means that Easter is almost here! We can't wait to celebrate the risen Lord with our families and friends on Easter Sunday, March 31st. Children will remain in the church for the entire service with special busy bags full of stickers, bells to ring, and other activities available at the front of the church. We will have an egg hunt immediately after church on Easter Sunday and a festive coffee hour too!

The celebration will continue on April 7th with a Children's Chapel packed with Alleluias, thanksgivings, and music with Mr. Riley.

EYC - put your egg hiding skills to the test with us on Easter Sunday morning! We'll meet before church at 9:40 to hide 250 eggs for the little ones to find.

EYC is Heading For the Hills

June 9-14th

This summer our middle and high school youth will be returning to Asheville to serve our neighbors experiencing hunger, housing insecurity, and poverty in the NC mountains. We're excited to be back with our friends at Asheville Youth Mission (and excited for daily candy runs to the Mast General store!). The cost of the trip is $150 per person, and a $75 deposit is due by Sunday, April 7th. Payments can be made by check made out to St. Andrews with 'EYC Mission Trip' in the memo line, or at Abundant under 'EYC Glory Ridge' in the dropdown menu.

Email Martha with any questions you may have and check out this fun video of last year's trip here.
