Farewell Message from Superintendent Benson
I’m retiring and I have been blessed by this school community for the past 11 years. I am grateful for the uncommon favor providing me with many blessings over my eleven years in this superintendent position.
My pride runs deepest when recognizing the quality of learning experiences provided to our students. The many and varied student growth opportunities provided by our district is a credit to the faculty and staff who keep the engine running every day.
It has been my humble honor to be this district’s superintendent. I am grateful for the opportunity to have served alongside so many talented people who supported the district’s collective commitment to our community’s children, and the proof in knowing that results and relationships can live side by side.
During my tenure, the highly functional, civil, coherent, professional school board remained true to keeping the best interest of children at the center of their decisions. President Stacy (and the full Board) govern with public trust, accountability and integrity. These are good people who love children, support the work of our employees, and represent community values.
I am proud of our administrative and supervisory team who provide servant leadership. These leaders are good people whom I tremendously respect and have enjoyed working with on a daily basis.
I will always respect and appreciate this amazing faculty and staff – they are all very special people in our community.
In retirement I will reflect fondly on our commitment to upholding the values of our community and ensuring a constant and relentless focus on each and every child regardless of background and/or abilities.
The past was amazing – and, with David Bell’s leadership as the next superintendent, a highly functional and supportive school board, with a community that supports our schools, with the strength of this admin-leadership team, and of course with high quality teachers and support staff – the best is yet to come.
I love this place...I respect and appreciate the foundational life-long impact this institution has made on the lives of children these past 11 years and I will cherish the memories.
Thank you for the honor of being part of a very special district for these past 11 years. What an amazing community!
Once A Wildcat, Always A Wildcat!
