April 2024

School District of River Falls Honored Nationally for Fourth Consecutive Year for Music Education Support

The School District of River Falls has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. This designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement for providing music access and education to all students.

I’m proud of our students and staff and the investment that our community makes for our students. We have a quality music education program, including two outstanding musicals a year, choral and instrumental ensembles and concerts, a state champion marching band, and more.

This year, we have had an unprecedented number of solo and ensemble musicians headed to the state competition. This award is symbolic of the commitment our community has made to our students and the dedication of our music educators to bring quality musical opportunities to our students.

Thank you to all who came out and visited our table at Earth Fest River Falls on April 20! It was another fantastic event with a great turnout. The school district was represented by the School Forest, Community Ed, Wiley's Wardrobe, RFHS FFA, and members of RFHS NHS.

Thank you to the 500+ volunteers who share their time and talent with our students, staff and district. We appreciate our many volunteers, who help with PTO events, provide academic help, share career knowledge, pop "Friday" popcorn, chaperone field trips, and help our students and staff in countless other ways. You make a difference!
