When we first met Courtney Thomas she was the director at another area animal rescue facility. We worked with her group to help find homes for dogs and sponsor events. Shortly thereafter she became a Client and we took care of her four legged babies when her busy schedule made it necessary. Now Courtney has headed up a new rescue facility called Great Plains SPCA. Courtney and her group of staff and volunteers run an awesome facility that offers more than your run-of-the-mill rescue operation. Since their merger of two former organizations, courtney and the group have expanded their operation into Missouri with a brand new facility. The new facility is located at 21001 East 78 Highway Independence, MO 64057.
Great plains offers affordable veterinary care, training services, and has a retail store to boot! Providing affordable products and services to owners of their adopted pets is just another way they help keep a roof over the pet's head.
