Your Weekly Message from the President
|
Dear Southernites and Friends,
Carpe Diem! The Latin aphorism means "seize the day." Over the last 48 hours, I've had an opportunity to attend gatherings with members of the Baton Rouge City Council, the Mayor-President of East Baton Rouge, and the Governor of the great state of Louisiana. There has been a theme in these gatherings: we must ensure that Southern University, and the community that Southern serves, continue to thrive and excel. This moment in history is significant. I cannot recall a time in my lifetime where Southern has had so much support among prominent leaders in our city and state. It is important that we seize this opportunity to make our great University even greater! We must seize the day.

Thank you for your purchase of the 2016 Southern University Alumni Federation Directory.
As publisher of the directory,
we are very
excited to be in the final stages of the alumni directory project. We are writing to apologize and take full responsibility for the delay in the delivery date of the publication and apparel. We fully expect the publication will ship in April 2017 and the apparel products will begin to ship by the end of May 2017.
This delay is due to complications in the production process.
Here at PCI, we have a saying, "If it is worth doing, it is worth doing right." We are confident that despite the setback, you will enjoy your directory which we believe is a truly best-in-class publication.
We encourage you to contact us directly should you have any questions about your order. We can be reached at 1-800-982-1590, or by email at
