STUDENT RECOGNITION



We have completed our first week of competition for high school sports and want to celebrate the success of our teams!

We want to highlight our girls cross-country runners, Mari Kueck and Megan Johnston, who medaled in the top 15 at the Weeping Water Invitational.

We also want to recognize our football team with their first win over Madison last Friday. Go Eagles!

MAP TESTING



Our Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) testing is just around the corner for our 2nd through 12th grade students! Our students test 3 times per year in an effort to track their academic progress. Our teachers use the data from the tests to tailor classroom instruction to meet academic needs.

Our first round of testing will be September 6-13, 2024. Please note the specific testing dates below for each grade level:

• Middle School & High School students will take the math portion of their test during their Math classes on Monday, September 8th and Tuesday, September 9th. 

• Middle School & High School students will take the reading portion of their test during their English classes on Wednesday, September 11, Thursday, September 12, and Friday, September 13. 

• 2nd grade: Friday, September 6 (9:00-10:30 AM), Thursday, September 12 (8:30-10:00 AM), Friday, September 13 (8:30-10:00 AM)

• 3rd grade: Friday, September 6 (9:00-10:30 AM), Thursday, September 12 (8:30-10:00 AM), Friday, September 13 (8:30-10:00 AM)

• 4th grade: Wednesday, September 11 (9:00-10:30 AM), Thursday, September 12 (10:15-11:45 AM), Friday, September 13 (10:15-11:45 AM)

• 5th grade: Monday, September 9 (8:30-10:00 AM), Tuesday, September 10 (8:30-10:00 AM), Wednesday, September 11 (9:00-10:30 AM)

We are having a Parent Senior Class Meeting on Monday September 16th 6:00-6:35. Please meet in Mrs. Reid's room, room 181. We will be discussing the Senior trip, fundraising, and signups for help with HOCO.

OCA will be celebrating Homecoming Week September 30 - October 4.
