NEW TEACHERS AT OCA!
We are very blessed and excited about God’s provision in bringing us new teachers. Let’s welcome them!
MRS. KANTOR – PRE-K
My name is Sarah Kantor and I LOVE JESUS! I'm excited to be the Pre-K teacher at OCA! I have 4 children (Alyvia - 6th; Jackson - 5th; William - 3rd; Hannah - 1st) who go to OCA. My husband, Nick, & I have been married for 16 years and have called Bennington home since 2022. I'm so happy to be back in the classroom and I can't wait to watch each child grow in so many ways! Here's to a wonderful year in Pre-K and at OCA!
SHAYLEE REED - PE, HEALTH & ANATOMY/PHYSIOLOGY
Hello! My name is Shaylee Reed, and I will be teaching secondary health and physical education here at OCA. I graduated from UNK in the spring of this year with a PK-12 Health and Physical Education degree. I just recently got engaged and will be getting married on December 28th of this year. I love going on walks/runs with my fiancé, spending time with my 2 nieces, and anything that has to do with fall… watching football, cooler weather, colors changing, pumpkin spice candles, you name it! As an educator, I want to build up confident servant leaders who begin to grow in their abilities of living a healthy and active lifestyle while seeking to show Christ in everything they say, think, and do. Omaha Christian Academy not only allows me to do this openly but supports and encourages me throughout the process. I am extremely blessed for this opportunity and can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for this school year.
MRS. NOTTNAGEL – 1st GRADE
My name is Brittany Nottnagel and I am so excited to be a part of the OCA family this year teaching First Grade. I am married to my husband, Jerry, and together we have two boys, Brogan and Judson. I teach because it brings me so much joy serving and loving on God’s children! I believe my purpose is to try and make a positive difference in each of my students lives whether it’s big or small. I do it for the “ah ha” moments, smiles, and relationships I build with my students. Cheering my students to success and celebrating their achievements are the things that I cherish as a teacher. I am their advocate! At the end of the day, the thing that matters most to me is that my students know that God loves them, I love them, and that they matter. I look forward to loving and teaching your child this school year.

MRS. REID (DÉJÀ VU) - MS ENGLISH
My favorite Tim Keller quote is “I’m a lot worse off than I think I am, and a lot more loved than I’ll ever know I am.” How blessed I am to be working at Omaha Christian Academy. After seven years, I took a one-year sabbatical to travel. I am now returning to OCA to teach Middle School Language Arts, Personal Communications and Drama. Mr. Reid and I have watched our 4 sons cross the OCA graduation stage and I am thrilled to see more students achieve their potential as they are educated in light of biblical truth.
