We are saddened to share that Mrs. Leah Pohlman passed away on August 3rd. Her children attend OCA. Please be in prayer for the Pohlman family during this difficult time. 

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL



We have had a wonderful start to our school year! Wednesday was the first day of school for the middle and high school students, and elementary students began on Thursday. All students were greeted by an energetic squad of cheerleaders along with their coach, Kim McCoy. 

A warm welcome back to everyone, and a special welcome to first-time OCA families. We pray that you acclimate quickly. We are glad you are part of the OCA family!

MIDDLE SCHOOL FOOTBALL



Come out and support our LCS-OCA Lions for their season opener at Concordia Jr-Sr High this Saturday, August 17, 2024, at noon against Alliance Hawks Grey.

The rest of the season is as follows:

• 8/25/24 @ 4:00 pm - Lions Away vs St. Albert Falcons at St. Albert's Catholic HS

• 9/7/24 @ 2:00 pm - Lions Home vs 120th St Football at Concordia Jr-Sr High.

• 9/14/24 @ 12:00 pm - Lions Away vs St. Patrick's Angels at Mt Michael Elkhorn

• 9/22/24 @ 2:00 pm - Lions Away vs JR. Pride at Roncalli 

Followed by a tournament game in Week 6 and 7, more information to come.

OCA BOOSTER CLUB VOLUNTEER SIGN UP



We welcome parents/ guardians/ grandparents of students from any grade level to volunteer at our home Volleyball and Football games. We offer free entrance into the games and a treat at the concession stand for all of our volunteers. Sign up now before all of the spots are filled. 

A quick reminder all Fall Sports parents have been asked to sign-up for one event.

DROP-OFF & PICK-UP

Parking Lot Usage

In the past we have had parents park on the road west of our parking lot or parked in the parking lot behind the school. Unfortunately, these are not options for either drop-off or pick-up. The parking lot is a private parking lot that we do not have permission to be in, and there are no parking signs posted along the road.

Morning Drop-Off Notes

Elementary drop-off begins at 7:30 AM in the gym. At 8:00 AM, the gym doors will be locked, and all students arriving after 8:00 AM should enter through the front doors of the building. Those needing to assist students in exiting their vehicle are asked to find a parking spot in an effort to keep the drop-off line moving.

All secondary students should enter through the front doors beginning at 7:30 AM.

Afternoon Dismissal Notes

We will begin calling elementary carline numbers promptly at 3:15 PM. Please form a line along Wiesman Drive (in front of the school building) in order to turn right into our parking lot.

If you are picking up a secondary student (7th-12th), they will dismiss at 3:30 PM. Please park your car along Wiesman Drive and turn on your emergency flashers. This indicates to the elementary parents that they may pass you to stay in the elementary pickup line.

Please help us in following these procedures to ensure the safety of all and be respectful of the community members around our school. Thank you!
