JNESO has requested a mediator assist with Contract Negotiations with the City of Newark. JNESO and the City remain at odds on what you have told us is a priority in negotiations. We await the assignment of the mediator to continue negotiations.
JNESO recently filed a grievance regarding the change in your hourly rates for a recent paycheck, we will go through the process up to and including arbitration if necessary.
JNESO, and you the employees, were not notified of this change. We do not agree with the City of Newark's interpretation and necessity to reduce hourly rates.
Please keep copies of your paystubs for several weeks. Regularly check your paystubs for inaccuracies and changes.
