| One Week Wonder Florida Visit |
| Watch this inspiring new video by EAA's Brady Lane from earlier this year when the One Week Wonder Zenith CH 750 Cruzer went on tour in central Florida to visit EAA chapters. |
| "There's just nothing better than being with your fellow EAA chapter members, out in the field, talking aviation... and showing off our project." |
EAA's Charlie Becker and Zenith Aircraft's Sebastien Heintz flew the Zenith CH 750 Cruzer across Florida to share the story about the One Week Wonder from Oshkosh AirVenture 2014, where the Zenith kit was built in just seven days with the participation of more than 2,500 volunteers! "The main reason we wanted to [build the One Week Wonder] was to simply show everybody that you could build your own airplane. It's affordable, it's accessible, it's enjoyable, and it takes advantage of some of the greatest technologies that available on the aviation marketplace." |
Since last summer, EAA has been flying their new airplane around to show off the One Week Wonder to the aviation community to promote the wonderful hobby that is aircraft homebuilding. Earlier this month, Heintz joined Becker once again to fly the One Week Wonder 600 miles cross-country from Atlanta to Frederick, Maryland to attend the AOPA Homecoming Fly-In on June 6. Watch the video of the trip to Frederick and the AOPA Fly-In. |
| Take Flight day camp visits the factory |
| This past week brought dozens of Cub Scouts to the Zenith Aircraft factory in Mexico, Missouri, where the 7-11 year boys were able to get a good look at what goes into building and flying light airplanes. |
| "It was a learning experience that was perfectly disguised as fun," said Zenith Aircraft president Sebastien Heintz. "They absorbed all kinds of knowledge; they even pulled some rivets - and they never once realized they were in the middle of an 'educational experience.' They loved it, and so did we." |
| A total of 150 Cub Scouts from Central Missouri spent three days touring the factory, watching the CNC machines make kit parts and drill tiny holes, and learning about manufacturing, assembly, and what makes an airplane fly as part of the Take Flight day camp. |

Join us for our eighth annual "Fly in to Summer" Open Hangar Day and Fly-In Gathering at the Zenith Aircraft kit factory in central Missouri. This will be a fun gathering of Zenith builders, flyers, and enthusiasts, and is an informal grass-roots fly-in gathering open to all aviation enthusiasts: Come visit the factory, see the new Zenith demo planes, and meet with fellow builders and pilots. In contrast to our annual fall Open Hangar Day (with scheduled workshops and forums), the June event is very informal and unstructured: Owners of completed Zenith Aircraft are encouraged to fly-in to show off their completed project to fellow builders. The Zenith Aircraft factory will be open from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm for self-guided factory tours.

See the planes, tour the kit aircraft factory, and meet with the Zenith staff. View photos from last year's event.

Visit Zenith For A Demo Flight!

We look forward to the opportunity of showing our high-wing Zenith CH 750 Cruzer light sport aircraft. The newest Zenith model, the Cruzer is the "on-airport" version of the popular STOL CH 750 "off-airport" light sport utility kit plane, famous for its roomy cabin with comfortable side-by-side seating and easy cabin access from both sides.
|
While influenced by its well-known STOL predecessors (the STOL CH 701, the STOL CH 750 and four-seat STOL CH 801 sport utility aircraft), the CH 750 Cruzer is an all-new design optimized as an economical cross-country cruiser for typical (airport) operations. And of course, we also look forward to demonstrating our awesome low-wing Zenith CH 650 cruiser.
