Partnering with Bastyr University for Enhanced Nutrition Education
Thank you to four students from Bastyr University, who dedicated this school year to developing a Nutrition Education program that will benefit hundreds of families and individuals in need! The new curriculum provides a robust training for CRC's volunteers to better assist and educate our participants on healthy food choices.
Recovery for Life
CRC is partnering with North County Lifeline for their new Recovery for Life program, helping those convicted of a criminal offense with a history of mental health issues or substance use disorder. Eligible participants can receive counseling, housing assistance, employment services and more. Paul lived in his car, churches or shelters for ten years before he came to Community Resource Center's Food & Nutrition Center at the age of 68. He says, “When it came to really needing help, CRC was really there for me.” At CRC, Paul received the nutritious food he needed and began working with a case manager to find a stable home ...
Shop & Donate to Stop Hunger
During July, please bring donations of non-perishable foods to Art N Soul on 101, at 633 S. Coast Hwy 101 in Encinitas, to help local households in need. We especially need canned tuna and oatmeal! You can also mention CRC when you shop and they will donate 10% of your purchase back to CRC.

Encinitas Coastal Rotary
Thank you to Encinitas Coastal Rotary for your continued partnership in serving our community! In May, the group held their annual Golf Ball Drop , raising funds for local charities including CRC. This month, the Rotarians also put together a thoughtful Father's Day basket filled with cooking items for a dad staying at our domestic violence shelter.
The Falcon Club of the
Adventures Guides
Children at our domestic violence shelter will receive backpacks filled with goodies thanks to these caring kids! Thank you to the Falcon Club of the Adventure Guides at the Magdalena Ecke YMCA, who raised funds to buy backpacks for children at our shelter. Donations like these help make the transition a little easier for families at our shelter. Thank you!
Bombas Socks
Thank you to Bombas Socks for donating 1,000 pairs of socks to CRC. Those we serve who are homeless have been very appreciative of the comfort and dignity that comes with a fresh new pair of high-quality socks
