The TPO Board and committees elected new leadership at their December meetings.

Seeking Duval County Residents for CAC

The North Florida TPO Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) provides an opportunity for citizens to participate in the transportation planning process. Members are appointed to ensure a diverse cross section of the public.

The CAC meets the first Wednesday monthly, except January and July, at 2 p.m. in the North Florida TPO Board Room. Virtual meetings may replace in-person meetings during public health or other emergencies.

FHWA Bicycle and Pedestrian Training:

Safe System Approach

Date: Thursday, January 18, 2024

Time: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET

Host: North Florida TPO

Location: Virtual Delivery (Microsoft Teams)

FHWA will deliver a virtual training on the Safe System Approach as it relates to pedestrian and bicyclist safety. This two-hour course will cover the basics of the Safe System Approach and how the approach can be applied to improve pedestrian and bicyclist safety through planning, programming, and design.

The course will also include specific examples and tools of agencies

applying the Safe System approach.
