New complaint resolution process announced
Landlords and residents now have a chance to receive more help through JPHSDD's new complaint resolution process. Previously, landlords would only have the option to call the Housing Choice Voucher provider directly to give complaints or concerns. If the provider has not responded in 72 hours, landlords can click a button and send their grievance directly to JPHSDD.

"I think they are great and Christie (in the JPHSDD office) is very knowledgeable," said Sajea, Inc Property Manager Patricia Rivette. "And, she got me a solution within a day’s time. It was something that I previously tried getting an answer on for three weeks. We called to know why we didn’t get paid, and the answer was that they didn't have my property management certificate to authorize the payment. It was a very good experience. I think this is the right move to help move these processes along a lot quicker.”

Residents can also log in and leave a message about any complaints, grievances or tips by clicking on the Complaint Resolution button on the JPHSDD website.

“We've listened directly to our constituents through our survey process," said JPHSDD Executive Director Dorian Rawles. "Many felt they had no recourse after making a call. Now, by sending your complaint directly to our office, you will receive a response or resolution."

In the message, landlords should outline their concerns and exactly when they called the voucher provider. Residents should also write a detailed message about their concerns.

Landlords can click on the "Complaint Resolution" button under the Landlord Portal section of our website. Residents will also have the same recourse by clicking the "Complaint Resolution" button under the Resident Portal section of the website.

May 31st is the last day that landlords and residents will receive a paper check. Beginning June 1, 2022. Landlords will ONLY receive their rent payments via direct deposit.

If you haven't already, please fill out the “Authorization for Direct Deposit” form and return to the housing authority. The form, along with a blank check or direct deposit form, must be filled out in its entirety and submitted to:

If you do not fill out a direct deposit form, you will receive your utility allowance on a prepaid card provided by JPHSDD.
