MoneyGeek recently named Cranberry Township the safest small town in Pennsylvania and the ninth safest in the country. Cranberry Township earned the ninth spot on the list of 1,010 communities based on four data points.
Cranberry Township was awarded more than $2 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds from the Commonwealth Financing Authority to assist with water and sewer projects.

Public Works crews continue to monitor winter weather and are implementing new tips and tricks to combat winter road conditions.
Snow Angels are seasonal volunteers who assist residents by removing snow from their properties. Each Snow Angel (individual or group) is paired with a residential ‘match’ and visits the property throughout the winter months to ensure that walk/driveways remain clear.

As the Library celebrates its 50th anniversary, the community’s continued support is more important than ever. Via the annual fundraising campaign, residents can continue supporting a community staple that promotes and supports lifelong learning, sharing, collaboration, creativity, and discovery.
The Cranberry Police Department is teaming up with a community partner to ensure critical blood supplies remain plentiful. The Ehrman Crest School Blood Drive is set from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, January 15 at Movement Studio, 2070 Ehrman Road, Cranberry Township.

“I’m proud of the fact that we have been able to build a comprehensive pain management program,” says Edward Heres, MD.
Dr. Heres has been director of the pain management program based at UPMC Passavant-McCandless for more than a decade. The multidisciplinary program expanded in 2023 with the addition of its newest providers: Michael Desciak, MD, and Ryan Holden, MD, who are both fellowship-trained in chronic pain management.
