Iniko Shawl
As many of you may know, there are Condors that live in the area. Up on Big Sur Condor 1031 hatched on April 25, 2020. We watched it on the live web cam as it grew. Then came the Dolan fire, a large, powerful fire that destroyed much of the environment around the nesting area. The great news is that the chick was found and sent to San Diego for rehabilitation. The chick was named Iniko, a Nigerian word meaning "Born during troubled times."

Kris designed this shawl using two skeins of our custom colors of Mrs Crosby Hat Box, Cambria Cool and Cambria Warm. When we saw the finished piece, it reminded us of the wings of a large bird, so we named it in honor of little Iniko.

We think you'll love making it as much as she loved designing it.
These custom colors are available in Mrs Crosby Train Case (fingering weight sock yarn), Hat Box (DK/Sport), and Steamer Trunk (Worsted Weight).
Summer Sesame
One of the most popular yarns last year was Berroco Sesame, a beautiful multi-color, worsted weight yarn that is perfect for so many uses from hats and scarves to garments.

For Spring/Summer of 2021, Berroco brings us Summer Sesame! Summer Sesame is everything we love about Sesame, the easy care, the beautiful colors, and the great value, but designed for the warmer seasons as it contains no wool! Substitute Summer Sesame in any Sesame pattern, or any number of patterns for a new look!
