Video Series Magnifies Church Life

Today, we launch a new video series we call Piedmont Church Stories. These short, shareable videos will tell your story, magnifying the little things that make a big difference.

Our first focuses on our NextGen 'Move Up Day' that took place in the C.E. Building last Sunday.

Future videos will feature church projects, outreach and fellowship events. To suggest a specific story, contact Michael Barber at Michael@PiedmontChurch.org

Don't Miss A Beat!

Our church calendar is updated almost daily to include all meetings, worship times and special events.

Deadline for Messenger articles is 12 noon Monday.

Items received after Monday will be considered for the next edition.

Church App Training Session Sunday

Are you having trouble logging in or accessing the new Piedmont Church online directory? You're invited to a 1-hour training session with Operations Coordinator Mariana Navarrete on Sunday, June 9 in the Sanctuary after worship.

This hands-on session will guide you through the app’s basics with video demos and practical exercises. For a smoother experience, please bring your email address and password.

From Choir Sunday, June 2 - The Chancel Choir and orchestra presents Gabriel Fauré’s incomparably beautiful ‘Requiem’. Composed in 1888, this exquisite piece of music broke new ground as Fauré explored the subject of death and the afterlife from a radically new point of view: as rest and light, rather than judgment and fear. Also on the program are two new orchestral offerings by Stephen Main in keeping with the overall theme.

Alameda Co. Community Food Bank

A group of Piedmont Church members and friends worked an assembly line filling bags with potatoes, carrots, apples and corn-on-the-cob to be distributed to individuals and families in need. Data for the 3-hour shift shows on the white board confirming 275 meals per volunteer for their shift.

Pictured are back row - Kirk Miller, Linda McClain, Bob Cheatham, Sunny Bostrom, Judy Wright, Jeff McClain, Tom Parry, Shaun Clopton and Linda Rice. Front row - Nick Bergen, Shelley Clopton, Janet Peterson, Jan Crago and Tom Logan.

Refugee Task Force: Canadian wing

The Refugee Task Force (RTF) continues to work with all of our past families, keeping contact and helping as we can. One family, the Fazlis, find themselves in need of help.

It's a complex story, but we are looking for a support organization (faith-based or not) in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada (Toronto is the closest large city) to coordinate activities and to sponsor Fazli family members out of Afghanistan and into Canada.

If you know someone in the Hamilton or Toronto area, please ask them if they want to help. You can tell them that their efforts can really make a huge difference.
