Procella Teases Speaker Solution
for Micro LED Wall Displays
One of the most-discussed new product categories at the show was the large "Wall" micro LED
display, showcased by Sony and Samsung. These anticipate a future where home theater enthusiasts use giant flat panels in
place of projectors and screens. As exciting as these displays
may be for video quality, they present a major challenge to producing high quality sound by making proper speaker placement difficult, if not impossible (as in behind the screen placement).
Anders has already responded to this challenge with Procella speakers designed for above screen placement in commercial cinemas that use a solid projection screen instead of a perforated screen with speakers behind it. We brought one of these cinema loudspeakers to the show so that visitors could see our solution. The C102 (shown here) is a
full-range speaker for small cinemas that mounts above the screen. It uses the same compression driver and 6.5 inch midrange as the P6, adding dual 10 inch woofers. Stay tuned for more on the technology, availability and pricing.

P8iW & V21
We also showed two new products for the first time: the P8iW and V21. The P8iW is Procella's first high-output in-ceiling/in-wall speaker, based on the classic P8 and optimized for height, wide and surround channels for immersive audio systems. The V21 is our new flagship subwoofer - dual 21 inch drivers and a peak output of 145 dB!
These products will be available soon. For our new price list, contact Chuck Back.
