The Michigan Chamber, along with our coalition, the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance, Traverse Connect, Battle Creek, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Petoskey, and Saginaw Chambers, announced a “Listen to MI Business campaign and coalition asking President Biden and the federal OSHA to reconsider the vaccine mandate.
This campaign/coalition isn’t about being anti-vaccine. Rather, it’s about being opposed to one-size-fits-all government mandates that create unintended consequences for employers and employees alike.
Our businesses and employees should be trusted to work together to determine the best course of action, along with HR policies that fit and work for them.
The primary goal of this campaign is to raise awareness of the real and unintended consequences associated with this unprecedented mandate on the business community and to give our collective members an outlet to make their voices heard.
This effort will be run similar to the “Reopen Michigan Safely” campaign that we supported, which was aimed at ending the office ban and lifting the MIOSHA Emergency Rules.
