Steel Coil Cars are specialized freight cars designed for carrying rolls of sheet metal for industrial use. Early examples first debuted in the 1960s, and today the cars are a common sight on freight trains across North America. Bachmann's 55' Steel Coil Car features removable coil hoods with detailed cradles beneath and six "steel coil" loads. This new release includes the addition of the Angled Hood variation seen on older versions of these cars.
